Discover Holy Everest

Holy Everest in Berlin is a true hidden gem that offers a delightful fusion of flavors inspired by the rich culinary traditions of Nepal and the surrounding Himalayan region. Located at Gleimstraße 54, this restaurant brings a unique experience to those seeking something different from the typical dining options in the city. With its cozy ambiance and authentic dishes, Holy Everest has quickly gained a reputation among locals and visitors alike.

The menu at Holy Everest is a testament to the restaurant’s commitment to bringing traditional Nepalese flavors to Berlin’s diverse dining scene. The food is not only flavorful but also made with fresh, high-quality ingredients that truly elevate the experience. From the classic momos (dumplings) to the rich, aromatic curries, there’s something for everyone. The chicken tikka masala is a crowd favorite, boasting tender chicken pieces smothered in a creamy, spicy sauce that’s perfect when paired with freshly baked naan. For those who prefer something lighter, the vegetable curry or dal (lentil soup) offers a satisfying, wholesome meal.

One of the standout dishes at Holy Everest is their thali-a traditional platter that features a variety of small portions, allowing you to sample a range of dishes in one meal. This is ideal for those who enjoy exploring different flavors at once. The thali comes with rice, dal, a vegetable curry, a pickled dish, and a serving of crispy papadums. It’s the perfect introduction to Nepalese cuisine and a must-try for anyone visiting for the first time.

The restaurant also excels in offering authentic street food from Nepal. The chatpate, a spiced puffed rice dish, is a popular snack that delivers a zesty and tangy punch, while the gundruk, a fermented leafy green dish, provides a unique, earthy flavor that pairs perfectly with a cold beer or a refreshing mango lassi.

When it comes to drinks, Holy Everest provides an impressive selection of beverages that complement the vibrant flavors of the food. The lassis-sweet or salty-are a great choice to cool down your palate, especially after indulging in the spicier dishes. For those who enjoy a stronger drink, the Himalayan beer adds a nice touch of authenticity to the experience.

What sets Holy Everest apart is the attention to detail in both its food and service. The staff are warm, welcoming, and eager to share their knowledge of the menu with first-time visitors. It’s clear that they are passionate about the food they serve and want to ensure that each guest has an unforgettable dining experience.

The restaurant's interior is thoughtfully designed, offering a blend of traditional and modern decor that makes for a comfortable and inviting atmosphere. Whether you're here for a casual meal with friends or a more intimate dinner, Holy Everest strikes the perfect balance between authenticity and comfort. The relaxed environment makes it an ideal spot for those looking to unwind and enjoy a meal in good company.

  • Food was amazing and service even better! Our waiter was super friendly, gave us recommendations to order and also advice on how to eat the thali. The flavours were very interesting and would definitely come back soon to try more dishes on the menu.

  • Best Nepali Food in Germany. The soup was awesome, reminds me of my Home in Nepal. Authentic Taste. You can easily find a good Thai or Indian cuisine but Nepali Restaurant like this one is rare to find. Loved the food, loved the service and the atmosphere. Simply Great Highly Recommended. Must visit place in Berlin.

  • Holy Everest delivers one of the most refined Nepalese dining experiences I’ve had in Berlin. The flavors are layered and authentic, carrying a sense of tradition that feels both rare and memorable. The ambience strikes the right balance between warmth and elegance, creating a setting where the food can truly shine. Staff are respectful, attentive, and add to the overall hospitality. Yes, the prices lean toward the higher side, but authenticity and craft often come with value. If you’re seeking a genuine taste of Nepal in Berlin, this place is worth it.
